From Theory to life

The narrative

of a psychologist

Step into my realm of psychology and the intricacies of the human psyche. In my practice, I help my clients uncover the profound layers of the human soul, seeking to understand the unique narratives within. Beyond the therapy room, I wield a camera, employing the same lens of logic to reinterpret our perception of the world, finding inspiration in the unlikeliest of corners.

When Psychology Meets Clarity

Welcome, I'm Dr Keyong Ma, an HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist. I am dedicated to providing evidence-based treatment for a range of conditions, with a focus on neurodevelopmental disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders and complex affective disorders. As a principle psychologist in the NHS, a university lecturer in clinical psychology, and an Oxford University certified supervisor, my professional journey has equipped me with valuable insights into the complexities of the human psyche.

My approach to therapy is marked by my ability to use analogies that simplify the intricacies of the human psyche, allowing individuals to make sense of their past, recognise patterns, and develop the skills and resilience needed to cope with the present and future. I invite you to get in touch if you or your loved ones are seeking compassionate and expert guidance on your journey towards improved clarity and mental well-being.

Digital Support

In our fast-paced modern world, accessing mental health support can often be hindered by tight schedules, social stigmas, and geographical barriers. However, the emergence of online therapy has revolutionised the way we connect with and receive mental health care. Extensive research consistently highlights the effectiveness of online therapy, demonstrating that it is just as impactful as traditional face-to-face therapy in addressing a wide spectrum of mental health conditions.

Online therapy boasts numerous advantages over its traditional counterpart. It prioritises convenience and flexibility, enabling you to engage with your psychologist from the comfort of your own home, at a time that aligns with your busy schedule. This aspect can be especially helpful for individuals facing transportation challenges or residing in regions with limited access to mental health professionals. Furthermore, online therapy can provide a sense of anonymity and confidentiality, catering to those who may have reservations about seeking assistance for mental health concerns.

One noteworthy aspect to consider is that online therapy can expedite the process of connecting individuals with the right support when a quick consultation is needed. Reducing delays in identifying the most suitable support is crucial for addressing the needs of you or your loved ones. Timely clarity on the necessary support can help prevent prolonged struggles.

If you're considering online therapy, know that you are not alone in this journey. People from around the world have reaped the benefits of this effective and convenient form of mental health care. Online therapy empowers you to take the first step toward enhancing your mental well-being and cultivating a happier, more fulfilling life.
